Wikimedia Commons is a huge repository of freely licensed media - which has just celebrated its 6 millionth file upload.

This image of Bruny Island, which is off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, is a 'featured picture' which means the Commons community has categorised it as one of the finest images available in its collection.

It was photographed and uploaded by an Australian volunteer, Noodle snacks, who has also donated 136 other high quality images of largely Australian content. All material on Commons is freely licensed and reusable.
