Proposal:QR codes GA articles
- This page is a proposal being developed by our members.
To create QR plaques for upto 100 locations of articles on en.Wikipedia that achieve GA status or better by end of April. The articles can be about;
- buildings(ie w:Round House),
- statues including subject of the statue(ie w:John Curtin),
- places (ie w:Bare Island (New South Wales)).
Articles about other subjects will be considered on an as nominated basis the key factor is that a specific location where a plaque can be mounted is required. All the article will have plaques created at one time to keep costs down, WMAU to send out letters to site owners explaining the purpose of the plaques and seeking permission for its instalation before printing.

- encourage editors to improve article content across a broad spectrum
- not necessary to develop a full WikiTown project to get QR coding
- can be achieved anywhere
- low bar for member participation as any individual editor can write a GA article
Measurables
- increase in the number of Australian GA or better articles, which as at 2nd of Feb 2014 is 321 FA, 43 'A', and 536 GA class articles.
